Lamela: Disappointed To Leave Roma But Looking Forward To Spurs Challenge

Tottenham have completed the signing of AS Roma winger Erik Lamela in a deal worth €30 million plus €5 million in add-ons.

With the departure of Gareth Bale imminent, Spurs sought after Lamela as the ideal replacement for the Welshman. The Argentine was reluctant to leave the Italian club but with Roma in need of the finance from this deal, the player accepted a move to London, “I’m ready for Tottenham, I want do great things for Spurs. And thank you, Roma”.

Tottenham are also set to sign Steaua Bucharest defender Vlad Chichires with the player set to undergo a medical this week.

Southampton Sign Osvaldo

Osvaldo: Reunited With Former Manager Mauricio Pochettino

Southampton have confirmed the signing of striker Pablo Osvaldo from AS Roma for a fee believed to be in the region of £15 million.

The striker has signed a four-year deal at St Mary’s, taking the clubs summer spending past the £30 million mark. “Southampton football club is delighted to announce the signing of Italy striker Pablo Daniel Osvaldo. The player today agreed terms on a four-year contract with Saints and moves from Serie A side AS Roma.”

Manchester City Sign Jovetic

Manchester City have announced they have reached an agreement with Fiorentina to sign Striker Stevan Jovetic for €30 million.

The transfer fee is €26 million up front with €4 million in add-ons. Arsenal has had a long standing interest in the Montenegrin but the the Italian clubs asking price was more than what they were willing to pay. City, however, have the money to fund the move with both Mario Balotelli and Carlos Tevez having already left the club.

PSG have today confirmed the signing of striker Edinson Cavani from Napoli for €64 million.

Cavani has been linked with numerous clubs this summer with most unwilling to pay the full amount of the players release clause. However, PSG, owned by Qatar Investment Authority, have paid the full amount to take the Uruguayan to Paris with the player signing a five-year deal.

Giaccherini: Two-Time Serie A Champion With Juventus

Sunderland have completed the signing of Italian international Emanuele Giaccherini from Juventus for a fee of £6.9 million.

The 28 year-old, who won Serie A with Juventus last season, has signed a four-year deal at the Stadium of Light having been linked with the club for a number of weeks.

Fiorentina Sign Mario Gomez

Gomez: Frustrated At Bayern Munich

Fiorentina have signed German striker Mario Gomez from Bayern Munich for €16 million.

Gomez signed a four-year contract at the club and will reportedly earn €4m in add-ons, taking the total transfer fee to approximately €20 million.

Juventus Sign Tevez

Carlos Tevez has signed a three-year contract with Juventus after a fee of €12 million was agreed with Manchester City.

The Argentine, who has just one year left on his £196,000-a-week contract at City, also revealed that he snubbed AC Milan in favour of a move to the Italian champions.

Carlos Tevez is set to sign a three-year contract with Juventus after the club agreed an initial €9 million deal + €3 bonus fees with Manchester City.

Juventus officials flew into England today to undergo talks over Tevez and the Italian champions were able to agreed a fee for the player. The Argentine, who has just one year left on his £196,000-a-week contract at City, has also attracted the interest of AC Milan but the club CEO and vice-president Adriano Galliani claims they now don’t have room for him at the San Siro.

According to various reports, Arsenal have agreed terms with Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain but are yet to agree a fee for the player. With Juventus offering  £18million for the Argentine, surely an offer of around £22million up-front cash from Arsenal would be hard for Madrid to turn down?
