Chamakh: Joins Palace After Unsuccessful Loan Spell At West Ham

Crystal Palace have confirmed the signing of former Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh on a one-year deal.

The Morocco international joined Arsenal on a free transfer from Bordeaux in 2010, scoring 14 goals during his time at the Emirates Stadium  The striker spent last season on loan at West Ham with little game time.

Villa: Will Be Playing Champions League Football Next Season

David Villa has agreed to join Atletico Madrid from Barcelona for a fee believed to be around €5.1 million.

The full breakdown of the transfer is as follows: Villa will join Atletico for 3 years for €2.1m with an additional €2m added if he enters the second year of his contract and an another €1m if he enters the third year of his contract. Barcelona will also receive 50% of the fee from the players next transfer.

Arsenal tried hard to sign the player in the January transfer window and both Tottenham and Manchester United have been linked with the player this summer, however, Atletico have moved quickly to secure Villa’s signature with Barcelona looking to raise funds for new players.

Arsenal have signed French U20 International Yaya Sanogo from Auxerre on a free transfer.

Sanogo has been part of the Auxerre set-up since joining the club at the age of 14, he has since gone on to represent his country at u16, u17, u19 and u20 levels.
Arsène Wenger is delighted to sign the youngster: “Sanogo is a good young signing for us. He has shown that he has potential with his recent performances for Auxerre and also for the France Under-20 side. We are looking forward to Yaya joining us and continuing his promising development.”

Bayer Leverkusen have rejected a €23 million bid from Arsenal for Lars Bender, according to German press.

Arsenal are looking to recruit a defensive midfielder this summer and see Bender as the perfect replacement for Alex Song, who joined Barcelona last year. However, the Leverkusen board categorically rejected Arsenal’s bid and stated Bender is ‘not for sale’.
